£24.50Oakum is a rope made of flax fibers drenched in pine tar (or Stockholm tar) and makes for a terrific caulking method to seal joints or fill gaps in timber. These fibers are driven into the wedge-shaped seam between planks or in large holes. The caulking is then covered over with a putty. Originally this was used in the shipping industry to fill crack between timber boards. Our Oakum can be easily torn into smaller pieces to suit your application.Visit product page →

Linseed putty for exterior use.
This traditional linseed filler of the highest grade is ideal for carrying out large repairs, as well as the installation of single glazing.
Apply the putty onto the primed wood. According to the manufacturer, it can be directly painted over with linseed oil paint after application. However, for best results, we recommend you wait 3-4 weeks before painting over. The product is made from pure linseed oil and excellent types of chalk. Can also be used in combination with oakum docka.
Available in 375ml and 5 kg sizes.
