Emente Paint JdM White

Colour on this image: #11 JdM White and Metallic #43 Gold

Customers are now far more demanding in their choice of products. They want to keep healthy and allergy free, using natural and organic products wherever possible.

Emente Paint is truly eco friendly because it is not based on latex or acrylic resin but on water dilutable oil resin, successfully combining tradition with the latest environmental legislations.

Emente don't use any heavy metals or toxic pigments to colour their paints. This superior quality, virtually odourless paint gives an excellent coverage and is currently available in four different finishes.

The perfect base for Emente paint.

As you’re preparing to use Emente paint, don’t forget to order the Emente primer you need, too. There are 2 types – Acrolin Primer and Matsola Foundation, and they’re both wonderfully eco-friendly. One coat is usually enough, and they dry at room temperature in around 4 hours. Brushes can be cleaned with water and a little detergent.

Matsola Foundation

Matsola Foundation is a breathable fixing primer for use under Matsola, Satola and Tempera on surfaces made out of plaster, plasterboard and wood.

Based on special resins, Matsola Foundation ensures a smooth and opaque finish.

Our paint removal tools are fast, effective and safe, offering an unbeatable and environmentally friendly way to prepare for restoring a window or a staircase, a piece of furniture or even a boat! Check out our Speedheater Cobra, which offers a great advantage over hot-air guns.

See our true colours.

Most paint cards in the shops are just approximations – mass-produced on a printing press to get as close as possible to the paint colours (which isn’t very helpful). However, all of our paint cards are hand-painted using the actual linseed oil paint or Emente paint. So you’ll get faithful colours to help you choose exactly the right shade of paint for your project.

Colour Cards & Boards

We have tried to answer most questions in our FAQ section and on our About linseed paint page. However, if that wasn't enough and you're really into linseed paint, check out these videos.

Our range of natural Linseed Oils & Wax

We have different types of oils and wax, all made from flax seed, which is otherwise known as Linseed. It's a very pure product, simply made from pressing the flax seed to extract the natural oil.

If you're starting out and need an oil to thin your first coat of paint, we would recommend Raw Linseed Oil.

You’ll be so glad you did

Linseed paint is an age old way to protect timber from exposure to the elements. In Scandinavia and most of mainland Europe and America, it has been around for hundreds of year and has one of the best track records of any building product. It prevents timber from rotting and metal from rusting. On top of that, it is more environmentally friendly and less expensive per square meter than any other conventional exterior paint.

Linseed paint is not a hobby for us, it is far more important. We understand the need to be able to supply in large quantities at a consistently high level with the right ingredients. All our colours contain zinc white to increase durability and help combat mould-growth.

If you cannot find the colour of your choice, we can also create a Custom Colour for you.

For the best chance of a flawless finish

If something’s worth painting with linseed paint , it’s definitely worth using our specialist brushes. They’re all very carefully made using pure pig´s bristle (taken from live pigs, so no animals are harmed!).

These are very high quality, durable brushes, and because they are made of 100% natural bristle, they hold oil paint better than synthetic brushes. This improves the flow of paint onto the material you are painting.

Most of these brushes are cast in one piece, so the bristle under the tinplate is glued to the handle – resulting in no water pockets, so your brush lasts longer.

To care for your brushes, we recommned suspending them in Raw Linseed Oil in between coats, and cleaning them with Krystal Brown Soap.

Everything you need before, during and after painting.

Because you care about choosing the right paint, you’ll want to use the right tools for each job, too. That means correctly preparing your surfaces, using the right brushes, drying your paint properly, and caring for it lovingly over the years. Our portfolio of carefully selected painting tools & accessories will help you produce spectacular paintwork.

The ultimate in rapid, safe paint removal

You’ll never pick up a hot-air gun again. The original Swedish Speedheater system uses gentle infrared heat to remove paint, varnish and putty brilliantly at lower temperatures – so you can say goodbye to scorched wood and cracked glass. It safely removes lead paint, too. After only a few seconds’ exposure, the Speedheater Cobra lets you scrape old paint off easily, even in those pesky hard-to-reach areas.

Dries your linseed oil paint up to 10 times faster

Linseed paint is amazing. But if you need it to dry more quickly, because of the weather, shortage of time or you’re a professional painter who needs to keep moving, our UV curing lamp will dramatically speed up your linseed oil paint drying time.

Linseed oil paint usually needs about 24 hours to dry between coats. It dries with exposure to natural UV light, which can take longer when painting indoors or in winter. The good news is that this 400-watt hand lamp exposes your linseed-painted windows, doors and furniture to extra UV light, accelerating your drying time. Lab tests show that exposing freshly applied linseed paint to just 5 minutes of supplementary UV light enables you to add another coat after just 2-3 hours.

Curing lamp features

  • 400 watts
  • Compact, lightweight & durable
  • Fan-cooled
  • 135 volts to the UV hand lamp for safety
  • Easy access for UV bulb for replacement & cleaning
  • Elapsed-hour counter for service-scheduling
  • Safety-wire mesh over filter glass
  • Mounting bracket.

  • 230V 50/60Hz (for use in your own property)
